Midtown Farmers Market

Pioneers and Soldiers Memorial Cemetery

The oldest existing cemetery in Minneapolis with the first burial in 1853 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The cemetery is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, from April 15 th to October 15 th. You may schedule an appointment to visit the cemetery during other times by contacting the City of Minneapolis’ Division of Public Works at (612) 729-8484. Movies are occasionally screened in the cemetery as organized by Friends of the Cemetery and Trylon Microcinema.

Midtown Greenway

The Midtown Greenway is a 5.5-mile long former railroad corridor in south Minneapolis with bicycling and walking trails. The nearest entrances to the Midtown Greenway from Corcoran neighborhood are at 21st Ave South meeting East 28th Street, or at 18th Ave South near East 29th Street.

East Lake Library

Open hours: 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays; 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays; and, 12:00 noon - 5:00 p.m. on Sundays. Language collections include Somali and Spanish in addition to computers and meeting rooms. Volunteer and support the library through Friends of the East Lake Library.
