BBQ Potluck and Meeting on the Future of Corcoran Park organized by Corcoran Neighborhood Organization.
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is seeking residents’ input on the future of Corcoran Park, including the physical park amenities, the recreation center, and the programs, services and activities offered by the park. The Park Board’s August community meeting drew just 2 residents, so the Corcoran Neighborhood Organization is organizing a “round 2” of community discussion, and we hope to draw at least 100 residents -- PLEASE JOIN US and help spread the word!
CNO invites you to a BBQ potluck and meeting on Wed., Sept. 23 from 6:00 to 8:00pm to share your input on the future of Corcoran Park. FREE FOOD – read more below! Attendees will include Park Board staff and decision makers.
According to the Park Board, a number of Minneapolis parks are suffering from delayed regular upkeep, and some amenities such as playgrounds, wading pools, sports courts, and athletic fields are now past the point of repair. WHAT DO YOU THINK? The Park Board is seeking residents’ input on how to prioritize and restore these amenities. The Park Board also wants to hear whether its recreation center and programming are meeting our community’s needs, and how those needs might change over the next 20 years.
