These residents study and shape growth in the neighborhood by working with City and County Planning and Zoning staff and prospective developers. The Committee’s current focus is on Transit Oriented Development on Lake Street from the Midtown Light Rail Transit (LRT) Station to Cedar Avenue. The Corcoran Midtown Revival Plan, the Committee’s guiding document, is the result of several years of neighborhood discussion, debate, fact-finding, imagination, and consensus building. It was adopted by the City as part of the Minneapolis Plan in 2002. One very successful and visible result of the Plan’s vision so far is the Midtown Farmers’ Market at 22nd Avenue and Lake Street.
