There is nothing better than warm soup on a brisk evening in November except of course, gathering together with friends and neighbors on a November evening at the newly renovated Corcoran Neighborhood office for the annual soup/chili cook-off!

This summer, Corcoran Neighborhood did some significant renovations to make the cozy corner office even more conducive to host larger events and create more space for meetings, gatherings, socializing, and mind-melding on community empowerment. The new open layout is begging for a chance to show itself off and what better event than the annual soup/chili cook-off?!

Doors will open at 5pm for tours and warm drinks and at 5:30pm we’ll start to serve the soup. At 6:30 a formal welcome and brief updates on the work of our staff and volunteers begin and ballots will be counted and prizes awarded at 7:30pm. Bowls and utensils will be available, but as always, we encourage you to bring your own mug or bowl (perhaps your newly acquired bowl from Powderhorn Empty Bowls on Nov. 6th). Bread, beverages, and desserts will be provided throughout the evening. There will be plenty of space to mingle and eat, along with childcare activities. Bring the whole family and enjoy what has become a favorite neighborhood event.
