Volunteers still needed for Corcoran Clean Sweep on Saturday, June 28

Clean SweepCorcoran's annual Clean Sweep event will happen on Saturday, June 28 this year, and volunteers are still needed! This community event helps residents dispose of non-hazardous junk that cannot be reused, sold, or given away. Volunteers load these materials into trucks and haul them to the Southside Transfer Station. Learn more about leaving junk here. Please contact Eric at CNO to volunteer a few hours for Clean Sweep. You won't find a better opportunity to scavenge for "treasures!"

Free NNO street closure requires action by July 22

On Tuesday, August 5, National Night Out block parties will occur all over Minneapolis and all over America. NNO is your best chance of the year to build the neighbor-to-neighbor connections that help prevent crime. While you don't have to close your street to have a block party, NNO is the one time each year when Minneapolis residents can close their street for free! To do so you must register your event by July 22 by visiting the NNO website or by calling 3-1-1. After July 22, street closure costs $100. When you register your event, you can also request free door prizes including tickets for Twins baseball games and the Nickelodeon Universe at Mall of America.
