Heart of the Beast will close briefly and return in February The economic downturn has forced In the Heart of the Beast Theatre (HOBT) to close and lay off staff from December 29 through early February. These actions will trim $200,000 from the theater's $1 million annual budget. Executive Director Kathee Foran says the theater's situation isn't necessarily dire, but it does need help. They aim to raise $50,000 by end of January and can accept gifts at their secure website. HOBT will return with community meetings on February 10 and March 24 to plan the 35th annual MayDay Parade and Festival. |
