Tonight: ‘La Vina’ Community Meeting and Public Hearing

At 6 p.m. this evening (Sept. 28) at Corcoran Park (3332 20th Ave S), meet the owner of 'La Vina,' a restaurant soon to be opened at 3404 Cedar Ave S. Learn about the owner’s renovation plans for the former ‘Ya Ya Foods’ building. At 6:30, the meeting will shift gears to a special public hearing by the City of Minneapolis, to present information and solicit comments on La Vina’s request for an on-sale strong beer and wine license.

Attend a Free Personal Safety Workshop

On Monday, October 2 at 6:30 p.m., Mary Brandl, a self-defense expert, will teach residents how to defend themselves against crime.
