Try these tips to make your property less attractive to taggers:
Improve Lighting with a dusk-to-dawn or motion-activated light on your garage or in the back yard. Choose energy efficient products to keep costs low.
Grow Vines or use landscaping to make flat, blank garages, retaining walls, and fences less appealing to taggers. Morning Glories are a fast-growing climbing vine.
Stagger Fence Posts instead of building a flat fence. A flat, blank fence is a billboard waiting to be tagged.
Mural Your Garage or fence. Murals are proven deterrents against graffiti. Get the kids and adults on your block together to help paint and celebrate. (See related story below!)
Graffiti encourages more graffiti, so please cover or report the markings to 3-1-1 swiftly.
