Would you like to create art, collaborate with a community team, design a mural, discourage gang vandalism, work with an experienced professional artist and teacher, or just meet some interesting new people? You can do all of this at tonight's (Aug. 14) first mural project meeting, 6:30 pm at Corcoran Park. View details here. Community Potluck Returns to Corcoran Park
Please bring a dish to share to a community potluck on Wednesday, August 15, 6:30 pm at Corcoran Park (3334 20th Ave S). Share ideas about crime prevention and community building activities in the Corcoran neighborhood. The potluck is hosted by the volunteer group known as the Caring Corcoran Neighbors.
Boarded and Vacant Houses Are on the Agenda
Concerned about vacant houses on your block? At their meeting on Monday, August 20 (6:00 pm at CNO), the Housing / Land Use & Transportation Committees will continue a detailed discussion of boarded and vacant houses in the neighborhood, with a focus on possible remedies. Everyone is invited to attend.

Celebrate the wealth and diversity of community gardens in the Twin Cities during the 2nd annual Parade of Community Gardens on Saturday, August 18th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
