Public Art Project and General Membership meeting July 24
Meet neighbors, make art, enjoy a root beer float

GROWSOn Saturday, July 24 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., Corcoran GROWS invites you to Corcoran Park (3334 20th Ave S) to enjoy a root beer float, meet your neighbors, and create public art for your yard or garden.

Corcoran GROWS has developed an innovative public art concept called "Doors to Sustainability." The idea is to paint old doors and turn them into public art. GROWS envisions decorated doors popping up around the neighborhood in gardens, front yards, fences, and elsewhere. Come to the event and paint a door! No experience is needed and all paint, doors, and supplies will be provided. The root beer floats are free!

Online Corcoran neighbors forum seeks manager

Due to travel, the volunteer Forum Manager for the fledgling Corcoran Neighbors Forum must pass the baton. E-Democracy seeks a new Manager to recruit members and lead a friendly round of introductions. Once the Forum is officially open (when it reaches 100 members), the Manager's job is to keep the forum within its local scope and to keep the conversations neighborly. Behind the scenes, there is a peer-to-peer support network for forum managers. Time commitment is roughly 15 minutes per day, on your own time, from anywhere! Interested? Contact E-Democracy.
