Enjoy Fireworks at Powderhorn Park

Powderhorn Park Neighborhood Association, Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board, and the City of Minneapolis will collaborate to put on the annual July 4th Fireworks Celebration at Powderhorn Park. The Celebration will include music, food and fun for the entire family. Music will begin at 6:00 pm, concluding with the fireworks at 9:30 pm.

Enjoy a Block Party on Wheels This Saturday

Bicyclists of all ages and fitness levels are invited to gather at 10:00 am this Saturday at the Midtown Farmers' Market for a fun city ride. Come meet some neighbors and enjoy summer as we explore our city and neighborhood by bicycle. View flyer. The event is organized by volunteers on the Land Use & Transportation Committee, which will meet again at 6:00 pm on Monday, July 30.

Heart of the Beast Offers Youth Puppet Camps

In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre (HOBT) announces a fresh line-up of creative fun with its popular summer Puppet Camps. Camps are week-long, Monday through Friday, with full- and half-day options. All camps, classes and workshops are held at HOBT’s Studio at 1516 East Lake Street unless otherwise noted. Join the Corcoran Neighborhood News Team

An enthusiastic group of volunteers recently brought you the July issue of the Corcoran News, and will meet again on Monday, July 9, 6:30 pm at CNO. A variety of important roles are available, including writing, photography, copy editing, graphics editing, and final layout. Join us! No experience is required. The team meets on the second Monday of each month.

Block Trainings Equip Residents to Prevent Crime

A free block leader training will take place on Thursday, July 12, 6:30 pm at the Minneapolis Police Department 3rd Precinct, 3000 Minnehaha Ave. Topics include: organizing a block/apartment club, working with your community crime prevention specialist, dealing with problem properties, and effective use of 9-1-1 and 3-1-1.
