Council to Discuss Future of NRP and Neighborhoods This Thursday, April 26 at 10:00 am, the Minneapolis City Council will hear a summary of the City-authored 'Community Engagement Report' and the public's feedback to the report and related meetings. (Read related Advocate story.) The Council will also discuss the City's relationship with neighborhood organizations and their primary funding source, the Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP). In March, the Council asked the Legislature not to pursue a bill sponsored by Rep. Karen Clark that would explore funding the NRP until 2029. The NRP is currently slated to end in 2009. The meeting will be held in Room 317 City Hall and is open to the public. (Read more citizen feedback to the 'CE Report.') |
