Unite With Neighborhood Newsies This Monday Night

Volunteers Needed Residents of all skill levels are invited to help shape the future Corcoran News paper this Monday, April 23, 6:30 pm at CNO. A small but enthusiastic team of volunteer publishers has taken shape, but more hands are needed! On Monday, the team will work on a new layout and discuss the roles each person wants to play. Volunteers are needed for many important roles, including 1) editing news & articles, 2) editing graphics, 3) crafting titles, 4) breaker titles & pull-quotes, and 5) final layout (production editing). We’ll also need someone who knows Adobe InDesign or would like to learn. Volunteer turnout on April 23rd will be crucial in assessing the energy available to sustain a monthly version of The News. A decision about the future of The Corcoran News will be made at CNO’s May board meeting. Read related story.
